FS1 is a non-commercial, politically independent, ad-free community television station and media center based in Salzburg, Austria. It is one of the three non-commercial broadcasters in Austria offering a 24-hour full program, alongside Community TV okto in Vienna and dorf in Linz. FS1’s programming focuses on art and culture, the music scene, youth, social affairs, and education. All content is produced by local residents and civil society organizations on a voluntary basis. The station also rebroadcasts the U.S. news program “Democracy Now!
